Music that moves me

A while ago my friend Penny did a post about music that made her homesick. Well I’m home already, but here is some of the music that means home to me.
Fat Freddy’s Drop – Ernie

Ddub – Give it some

Kiri te Kanawa – Tarakihi

Strawpeople – Sweet Disorder

Rhian Sheehan – My Absolution

Ka panapana & Ruaumoko

Homegrown, chur!

So I went to Homegrown on saturday, and it was awesome.
I spent the whole day/night in the Dub/Roots/Reggae tent, as the acts just kept getting better and better. Salmonella Dub started off and they were wicked, and then each act following them was even better. Culminating with Tiki Taane and his kapa haka ropu.

The Livids play Bodega tonight

The livids are releasing an EP tonight at Bodega. Kicking off around 9pm. So if you want to do something fun on a Friday night and listen to some good music, there’s rumours of maybe even a video…
You should head down to Bodega, get yourself a pint of tuatara and enjoy yourself.

Pandora

I read an entry on David Bigwood’s Blog about Pandora and determined to try it out.
Its really really kinda neat. You might notice at the bottom of the righthand sidebar it has the songs I’ve bookmarked so far. If you have some bandwidth to burn and like finding new music. Give it a whirl.

about it being to hot has resulted in revolting windy and rainy [...]

Ive been playing with a couple of neat little things. One of them is indy.tv From the site:
