I spent the whole day/night in the Dub/Roots/Reggae tent, as the acts just kept getting better and better. Salmonella Dub started off and they were wicked, and then each act following them was even better. Culminating with Tiki Taane and his kapa haka ropu.

“ Later this month, the San Francisco Bathhouse in Wellington will play host to ‘A Concert for Darfur’. The music event will bring together 10 bands from African drummers to blues musicians and all money raised from ticket sales for the event will be donated to the International Committee of the Red Cross and their operations in Darfur.  “

“ Tickets for the concert cost $10 and are available from New Zealand Red Cross, Trade Aid, Real Groovy Records, Cuba Street, and Kwanzaa, The Afrikan Shop, Manners Street, Wellington. “

We are suffering from the post holidays empty bank syndrome at the moment,
but a few weeks work should sort that out. It seems that my complaining
about it being to hot has resulted in revolting windy and rainy weather
instead now. Still that helps me stay inside and work more.
