While the sausages in this hotdog arent anything super special, the
combination of it and the bun, plus avocado, mayonaise and green chili make
a fantastic meal. In fact anything from this cafe is great, including the
service and attitude.

These basically are just cheese kransky’s grilled. But with some sweet
chilli sauce, they are pretty good. If you are looking for something a bit
different with your next hell meal, grab some of these.

Spicy Lamb sausages

I had a fantastic spicy lamb sausage at the Newtown fair today. No idea who
made it, I bought it of some indian guy who was barbequeing them. The fair
was pretty good, lots of great food, a couple of good bands and some
interesting stalls.

Henry brought me some of these last night, from the Island Bay butchers. I
cooked them for dinner tonight and I have to say they were very good. Very
very good in fact. If you want something a little spicy that fries up a
treat I’d recommend these.

Ahhh the sweet taste of Chorizo and Success

After lots of thought and consultation with people (Thanks Olwen and Mason)
Ive managed to finally get some data out of a legacy library system in a
usable format. So to celebrate it, I had some utterly delicious venison
chorizo. So far they have jumped to the lead as the best sausages ive had.
Followed closely by the cheese Kransky’s I had the other day.

The highlight of this meal was actually the plum sauce and the mahsed potato
with mustard seeds. Having said this the Kransky’s itself were not too bad
at all, perhaps a little bland.

New Section ‘Sausages’

In my lifelong pursuit to find and subsequently eat the world’s best
sausages, I’ve decided to devote a section of my blog to cataloging those I
have tried thus far.
There are lots before this, but im going to start from this weekend.

Metetai – Romanian sausage, bread and Tzatziki from the Carlton Cafe in
Kilbirnie, Wellington. Very very nice, a well earned 7 out of 10.
