What’s in a name?
So we all have names. Some of us like ours, and some hate them. I’m somewhere in between. Laurel isn’t super unusual though I know it shocked my family when I was given it. Laurel and Hardy?… What’s her nickname going to be? Hippie parents? In school the kids could only come up with stupid [...]

One week on
Atarau is settling in nicely, and we are starting to find our rhythm. Ata is finding it all pretty boring. False alert
Our new son is proving to be a contrary one already. Last night he pretended that he was ready to arrive, pretty much all night, then decided nope, not yet. That plus the, I won’t show you what gender I am until you have decided you want to wait and be suprised, stunt he pulled [...]

Only a month to go
The due date is June 6, and going on our experience with Kahurangi that means anytime from now. We still don’t know if a boy or a girl will be arriving, we have one more scan but have decided if we haven’t known this long we might as well wait. This time around Laurel has [...]
