Had an interesting talk with someone in Argentina using Koha today. They are
gonna do a bit of a press release soon so that oughta be good.
It just keeps growing, more people all the time which is good. I should try
and fix some more bugs this weekend

MARC explanation
I was complaining to Joshua about how MARC is mental today. And he pointed
me at http://www.loc.gov/marc/umb/.
Which seems to be a pretty good explanation.

Ive done some work on this over the last few days. I think I have it all
working now. The latest version is in the HEAD of CVS
Enough with the MARC questions already!!!
It appears im doomed to have learn about MARC, I already know more than is
strictly healthy.
And with the constant questions it appears i’ll have to learn more.
When will the madness end.
Non MARC simple Acquisitions
I get asked quite often how this works, so I put together a set of
screenshots I hope illustrates how this system should work using the default
templates.
Take a look and see what you think

CDK comes back to haunt me.
Web based circulation is proving to be too slow for NPL, so they are trying
out the curses based system.
Its been quite a while since I last looked at this, and its still spaghetti,
but its suprising how much I remember.
Koha 1.2.3 users everywhere
It seems a lot of people are still using koha 1.2.3 quite succesfully in
most cases. Ive spent the last few nights doing tweaks for Bernadette in
christchurch and Talia in Australia. Just to make adding serials a bit less
painful.
Seems to be all going well. It will be interesting to see if they upgrade
when 2.0 is released.
The M in MARC is for Mental
Ok, so i’ve been doing quite a bit of work with MARC stuff lately, and I
still hate it. Most of my work has been focused on the Breeding Farm
(reservior) and on Acquisitions.
This seems to do what its supposed to do just fine, but its just that
everytime I have to deal with MARC I just know that there has to be a better
way.
