We had a quiet Christmas this year out at Donna’s which was very nice. I’ve uploaded a bunch of photos to the gallery.
Don McGlashan and his band the seven sisters along with the awesome Little Bushman will be playing a free concert in Civic square in Wellington.
Well after a bunch of drama with flights, which meant sitting in airports for more than 15 hours (for a 3 hour flight), I made it back home. The installation and training went well, and the weather was fantastic. Met tons of lovely people too, so apart from airline drama’s it was a most successful trip.
I’ve been uploading photos to the gallery, Kahurangi’s birthday party and other miscellaneous photos of him. No photos from Fiji unfortunately as I forgot my camera.
I’m off to Fiji on Sunday, to do a Koha install and training. It’s gonna be hot and very busy, but hopefully I get a moment or two to relax as well. It will be a Koha3 no zebra installation on Mandriva, so it should all go smoothly.
So the blog has been quiet for a while, thats because i’ve basically spent the last 9 days in the bathroom.
Last weekend was Kahurangi’s first birthday party, so on Saturday I took him out to let Laurel have space to get ready for Sunday. We went to a school fair, and I ate something there that must have been left for 12 days to soak in a bucket of bacteria, because by Sunday I was shaking uncontrollably and sweating insanely.
Fearing infecting the other babies and families at the party I spent the day in bed, by Monday morning pretty much everything I ate in the last 17 years had been liquified and passed through my sphincter … at least thats what it felt like. Not pretty let me tell you. I slept Monday night on the floor of the bathroom, waking frequently to moan pitifully and drag myself to the toilet.
It’s now nearly 9 days later and I’m 10kg lighter and still not 100%.
Next time I’m just gonna eat the dodgy looking stuff, instead of trying to be careful, then at least I will have something to blame.
Saw this on my way to work, so snapped a quick photo with the phone.
He does look kinda bored too.
I specifically bought this brand of muesli because it didn’t have any stupid yoghurt covered crap in the picture. And what happens, I open the box, pour out a bowl and there are tons of the freaking yoghurt covered bastards.
You have to take pleasure in the small things that make life enjoyable. Some of the things that make me chuckle is my user I have been using to test Koha 3.0. Mr Stinky P Clown … he gets debarred from the library quite regularly.
Another source of small pleasure is the myriad of ways people say thanks to the driver as they get off at their stops. Today we had
I was feeding Kahurangi breakfast this morning, and we had playhouse disney on in the background. It was some Strawberry shortcake movie playing. That raspberry chick is so annoying.
