How do you get a job like that I wonder. One day you think to yourself, “Slaughtering whales in the southern ocean … now thats something I’d like to be paid to put a positive spin on.”

Happy Smiley Baby
Laurel had just told Kahurangi one of her jokes, he cracked up laughing.
Plunket Visit number 2
Kahurangi now weighs 5.23 kg and is now 61cm’s tall. So hes starting to get big, he certainly feels like 5 kg when we are carrying him around now.
During tummy time yesterday he nearly managed to get himself up on all fours .. how scary is that.
All ready for the sun
Another nice hot day here today, so Kahurangi got to wear his sun hat.
The warm weather is making Kahurangi yawn a lot too.
Smiling Baby
Kahurangi has taken to smiling a lot now, we’ve yet to capture it on camera but any day now we will. He and Laurel have gone to Martiborough to the fair today, hopefully they remember to buy me some cake made by an old lady.
Short outage today
I rejigged my network today, causing the website to vanish from the net for a while. I have finished mucking around for now so it should be stable again.
Well as stable as a box that overheats slightly and sits under my desk with dogs bumping into can be.
Look how tiny he was
We got some photos from my Mum and Dad, this one is right after birth .. well about 20 minutes after. Id already forgotten how small he was.
We got a new car
Using the money from the insurance we bought a Nissan Stagea station wagon. It’s nothing fancy but all the baby stuff fits in it really well.
Why are there pockets on baby pants?
What the hell is Kahurangi going to put in there? Spew?
iPhone
After all the buzz about the upcoming apple iPhone, I couldn’t wait to get one, so I made one myself.
