Today I had a play making a circulation programme using Curses::UI. It was
pretty easy and I have a rudimentary programme that will know Issue and
Return.
Ive committed the code to CVS .. its by no means finished yet and I hope to
get time to keep working on it. Screenshots are here.

In Good Company
Hmmmm, watchable I guess best sums up this movie. Nothing special, but not
horrendously cheesy either. Was less humourous than I had hoped but not bad
overall.
Kingdom of Heaven
Okish .. some good action scenes, pretty crap plot, and some average action. But quite fun to watch on the big screen.
Kransky at Eva Dixon’s Cafe
The highlight of this meal was actually the plum sauce and the mahsed potato
with mustard seeds. Having said this the Kransky’s itself were not too bad
at all, perhaps a little bland.
I love Jello Lemon Pudding
Ive found my new favourite instant dessert thingy.
The Village
Another one from fatso.co.nz.
Not what I was expecting but a good watch nonetheless. Quite a few little
twists and a great cast.
Good grief those girls can party.
Well the 90’s party was a lot of fun, but man am I tired today. It must be true about females having more stamina than males, cos when we left at 3am the party was still going. Remind me to get a good stockpile of sleep before I party with the EM girls again.

LAUREL
Laurel (my wife) said to me the other day “You need to do a blog entry about
me”. So here it is. Laurel is an artist, she works at TLC, her coworkers are
slightly mental but thoroughly nice people all the same.
Sometimes they race chairs.
When Laurel isnt at work, she likes to spend time with our pets and read books and stuff.
The quest for faster circulations.
Talking with Joshua the other day got me thinking .. now circulation in the
web browser works fine for a low to medium volume. But when you start
returning/issuing a lot of books, the overhead of fetching the html, and the
browser rendering it becomes very apparent.
So I thought back to the original circulation, which was curses based, and
how fast that was, and decided to start on a TK implementation. Mostly just
as a proof of concept.
So at 10am Sunday morning I sat down to start, and its 12.29 now and I have
a system that will issue books for Koha. Lots to be done still .. but its
pretty simple so I think this might be a goer. Ive put up screenshots so
feel free to take a look.
Comments/Suggestions are more than welcome.
And now im going to play world of warcraft.
