So I play this usually for an hour or 2 each weeknight, and a bit more in
the weekend. If you ever want to find me on it, I play on the Windrunner
server with a character called Amaegwynn, and on Malygos with one called
Ranginui. Well most of the time anyway, so If you have World of Warcraft say
hi next time you are on one of those servers.

Laurel bought a microphone to record some stuff for her art. So I finally
decided to try skype out, after being told by lots of people that it was
really cool. And the conclusion … it is really cool. Ive only made a
couple of calls with it, but it worked a treat both times, commendably clear
and commendably simple, its going to be getting more use.

Does anyone want a gmail invite? I have a pile to handout, drop me a mail if
you want one.

Laurel’s dad sent her a funny picture, so here it is.

Between this and ‘Battle for middle earth’ the PC has been getting a real
work out over the holidays. Both are a ton of fun, but you can easily lose a
few hours playing them, or indeed an entire day.

This is pretty darn easy really. You just compile the usbserial and visor
modules for the kernel. Make sure you have usb hub support compiled, load up
the modules. Install something like pilot-link or jpilot, run either of them
and you’re away.

So I got bored of the images from the webcam, and I now have it showing a
random image from our gallery each time the page is reloaded. You can click
on it to get a bigger version. Enjoy.

If you’ve noticed no new images on the blog, thats because Laurel unplugged the
webcam to plug her speakers in. And since the webcam is in her office, she
wins. It’ll be back sometime though, and who knows I may even think up
something vaguely useful for it to do.

I keep getting my butt kicked by people all over the world in mortal kombat
deceptions. All I can win is the Mortal Kombat chess, as soon as we get into
the fight bits tho, if im not playing scorpion im pretty much toast. Its
quite a bit of fun though and a huge stress relief.

UPDATE 2004/12/07: I suck far less now

Well due to a nice 8 hour outage of the telstraclear cable. We had no tv or
net for 8 hours. So I played a lot of Mortal Kombat, im pleased to report I
suck far less than I did before.

1. Buy a cheap webcam from trademe
2. Spend 2 hours getting it working
3. Spend another hour scripting automatic updates to your blog

And there you have it a picture of a dog toy in your blog

UPDATE 2004/11/30: I changed it

Ok, its no longer just pointing at a dog toy, its now pointing at a panda
soft toy, with perhaps the biggest disproportionate head ever. Oh and you
can still see the dog toy off to the left.
