Stuff has stopped falling from the sky

Well, the snow and sleet and rain and ice pellets have all stopped falling. So today we plan to leave the house and go down to Islay’s for breakfast, and then to the Mattress Factory (which is a museum that specialises in installation art). This weekend we have the Nieds xmas party, and the trans siberian orchestra to go too. So that should be fun. Then its probably off to Jersey for a few days before coming back to Pittsburgh for Christmas.

Attack of the ice Pellets

So at 4am tomorrow morning (Pittsburgh time) we are supposed to start being pelted with ice pellets. Then some sleet, then snow, then rain, then snow. So I think we will be doing the museums or perhaps the science center. Im off to Athens on the 28th for a few days work, just confirmed transport today. We are waiting to hear back from some of Laurel’s friends and may be off to Newark to meet up with them for a couple of days.

Its cold out

Well, its way too cold for snow tonight, its dropping to 9f which is -13c. Its about 18f out at the moment and thats plenty cold enough for me.
Today we went to the Northway Mall and got a few hoodies and warm clothes. Not sure what im doing tomorrow, something inside probably perhaps the last of our xmas shopping.

In the snow

We made it, after a few dramas at San Francisco airport. First United had lost our tickets, then we finally sorted that out, and snow in Chicago meant our flight was delayed. Consequently we got to Chicago and had 3 minutes to make our connection to Pittsburgh, we made it luckily. So we are still jet lagged and tired, but are enjoying the snow and crisp weather. More news as it happens, keep it tuned to the Korerorero blug.

Back in NZ

Well we are back in NZ after 23 hours of airports and airplanes. Luckily
only 3 hours and 10 mins were spent sitting next to the spawn of satan, and
his ineffectual father.
You know Air New Zealand is getting crappy when United Airlines is more
pleasant to fly. I don’t know what their strategy is, offer the crappest
service at about the same price as everyone else, is what it seems like. And
you can call it a Frittata as much as you like, its still just a shitty
small omelette.

But apart from the unpleasantness that is modern air travel, (dont even get
me started on NZ immigration) it was a pretty good trip.

Going to the Outlets

Well we are off to Ontario California today, to go to the Ontario Mills
Outlet Mall. 200 plus stores of low priced pretty much anything you could
want to buy. Luckily there is a 30 theatre cinema complex there as well, so
when I get bored of shopping I can leave Laurel to it and go watch a movie.
Theres an Auntie Annies soft pretzel stand there as well, so Im set.
