Another one from fatso.co.nz.
Not what I was expecting but a good watch nonetheless. Quite a few little
twists and a great cast.

Good grief those girls can party.
Well the 90’s party was a lot of fun, but man am I tired today. It must be true about females having more stamina than males, cos when we left at 3am the party was still going. Remind me to get a good stockpile of sleep before I party with the EM girls again.

LAUREL
Laurel (my wife) said to me the other day “You need to do a blog entry about
me”. So here it is. Laurel is an artist, she works at TLC, her coworkers are
slightly mental but thoroughly nice people all the same.
Sometimes they race chairs.
When Laurel isnt at work, she likes to spend time with our pets and read books and stuff.
The quest for faster circulations.
Talking with Joshua the other day got me thinking .. now circulation in the
web browser works fine for a low to medium volume. But when you start
returning/issuing a lot of books, the overhead of fetching the html, and the
browser rendering it becomes very apparent.
So I thought back to the original circulation, which was curses based, and
how fast that was, and decided to start on a TK implementation. Mostly just
as a proof of concept.
So at 10am Sunday morning I sat down to start, and its 12.29 now and I have
a system that will issue books for Koha. Lots to be done still .. but its
pretty simple so I think this might be a goer. Ive put up screenshots so
feel free to take a look.
Comments/Suggestions are more than welcome.
And now im going to play world of warcraft.

Man On Fire
Another DVD from fatso, and a good watch. I was pleasantly suprised by this
one actually and Laurel even kinda liked it. Which is pretty good for an
action/drama. I think thats because it had a reasonably good twisty plot.
$250 to read 2 lines
No wonder people want to become lawyers .. $125 per line of text.

Supersize me, and Spellbound
These we 2 of the DVDs we got from fatso and they were both good in their own
ways.
Supersize Me, as you are probably all aware of, is the story of a guy who
decided to eat McDonalds for a month. It was entirely predictable, although
suprisingly not by his doctors. Good for a watch .. a little to michael
moore/self serving for my liking.
journey to the National Spelling Bee. Its compelling watching, you feel sad
for some kids, laugh with others and bemoan the parents of most. Well worth
a look.
fatso.co.nz
Im currently using www.fatso.co.nz to
rent DVD’s. So far so good, it has a nice turn around on sending them out
and a huge selection. The thing we like best is that it has a really good
selection of documentary/art films.
