Things you see on your way to work
I suspect you are unlikely to see this elsewhere in the world, but today as I was walking from the bus stop up to the office. I looked out of the corner of my eye and noticed a very fit looking woman, who had obviously just stepped out of the configure gym, sitting on a bench eating a steak pie.
I guess its all about balancing that calorie intake with what you burn.
Koha in Greek
I found this site http://kohaprojectgr.greeklis.org/ over the weekend. From what google translate tells me its a site set up by someone who is spending time translating templates and manuals into greek.
So well done to whoever is doing it, and keep up the good work.
Homegrown, chur!
So I went to Homegrown on saturday, and it was awesome.
I spent the whole day/night in the Dub/Roots/Reggae tent, as the acts just kept getting better and better. Salmonella Dub started off and they were wicked, and then each act following them was even better. Culminating with Tiki Taane and his kapa haka ropu.
Got a messy git checkout?
If you are like me, you often want to rebase, or pull from a repo but have a bunch of local changes you don’t want to commit (yet) but also don’t want to lose, well git-stash is your answer.
This is really handy when working on Koha, you don’t have to muck around with local commits that get in your way when you are making patches to send upstream.
Fun times on Saturday
We went took Kahurangi along to Junglerama and met Manaia, Donna and my mum there.
Kahurangi’s favourite was the car driving
But they both loved the merry go round
The Hypothermia bus
On the bus ride to work today, someone had decided to open all the windows. Combine that with a driver who puts pedal to the metal, and you end up with people freezing at the back of the bus. Not a pleasant way to start the day.
Kahurangi helps out at TLC graduation
Laurel was helping out at her work on friday, handing out programmes and showing people to their seats. While she was waiting for me to get the bus across town to pick up Kahu, he did some helping too.
Fun with profiling
I had a bit of a play with some profiling tools and Koha today. This is the output when running a profiler over mainpage.pl. Looks like some nice optimisation could be done there.
