Well the conference went really well I thought, there was a ton of interest in Koha, some pretty solid too. Russ’ talk seemed to have gone over really well too, he was getting lots of comments yesterday from people who had gone to his session. We have a tape of the talk (yes tape … yes I know .. tape??) so have to get the converted some a format thats used in this millenium.

Now I have a couple of days to get ready to head off to Fiji to run some training sessions. Which should be fun, and warm.

Russ and I are about to explode if we here anything 2.0 again, web 2.0, library 2.0 especially.
I won’t even start on a rant about how lame they are, because then id still be here a couple of hours later having missed my bus. The rest of the conference has been good and we have been getting quite a bit of interest. The 2.4 opac has turned a few heads alright.

Lianza starts next week, so I’m flat out getting ready for it. Building demo machines, doing Koha installs, testing etc.

It should be a good conference, some interesting talks, and its always fun to see what the vendors are up to.

Rangitikei district library’s new website went live today. It was a fun occasion lots of people there for the launch, including the Minister for Libraries, so that was cool.

That’s 3 public libraries using Koha in New Zealand.
