Man On Fire
Another DVD from fatso, and a good watch. I was pleasantly suprised by this
one actually and Laurel even kinda liked it. Which is pretty good for an
action/drama. I think thats because it had a reasonably good twisty plot.
$250 to read 2 lines
No wonder people want to become lawyers .. $125 per line of text.

Supersize me, and Spellbound
These we 2 of the DVDs we got from fatso and they were both good in their own
ways.
Supersize Me, as you are probably all aware of, is the story of a guy who
decided to eat McDonalds for a month. It was entirely predictable, although
suprisingly not by his doctors. Good for a watch .. a little to michael
moore/self serving for my liking.
journey to the National Spelling Bee. Its compelling watching, you feel sad
for some kids, laugh with others and bemoan the parents of most. Well worth
a look.
fatso.co.nz
Im currently using www.fatso.co.nz to
rent DVD’s. So far so good, it has a nice turn around on sending them out
and a huge selection. The thing we like best is that it has a really good
selection of documentary/art films.
A new Koha support Company
From their release
“LibLime is pleased to announce the launch of our website and productdemos [ http://liblime.com ]. LibLime provides full vendor services (migration assistance,
staff training, and software maintenance, support and development) to
libraries for open-source software like Koha. Our mission is to make
open-source software more accessible to US libraries. On our website, you can find information about Koha and our other
products: Mambo Intranet and DiscrimiNet Filter. Our Koha demos
couple version 2.2.2’s stable code base with a fresh template
re-design. In addition, we’ve developed several Koha enhancement
features: Amazon.com content (item cover images, descriptions,
reviews, and ratings), spellchecking on failed search queries, and an
auto-completion “Koha Suggest” for the OPAC keyword search, to
name a few. We’ll be committing these features to the HEAD branch of
Koha soon. We’d love feedback from the Koha community. So feel free to visit
our site, try out the demos, play around, and let us know what you
think. Comments/suggestions/flames are always welcome ;-).” So that looks really positive. I wish them the best of luck.

z39.50 Koha Search and Library of Congress
It appears that something the LOC z39.50 server is doing is causing it to be
unsearchable using Koha. Tons of other z39.50 servers work just fine, I
wonder what the problem is.

Thanks to the hard work of Paul and HDL, plus many others the latest stable
version of Koha has been released. You can see the full release notes at

Emotive – A Perfect Circle
Tom was playing this in his car when we were in Fullerton, and I got a good
taste for it. So when I got home a got a copy, and im really enjoying it.
New Section ‘Sausages’
In my lifelong pursuit to find and subsequently eat the world’s best
sausages, I’ve decided to devote a section of my blog to cataloging those I
have tried thus far.
There are lots before this, but im going to start from this weekend.
Metetai – Romanian sausage, bread and Tzatziki from the Carlton Cafe in
Kilbirnie, Wellington. Very very nice, a well earned 7 out of 10.
