Ok, telstraclear screwed something up at 10.24pm on Monday night, which resulted in my having no internet at home until 5.08am this morning, thursday.

So thats a 54.5 hour outage, im emailing to ask for a reduction in this months bill, they will say no, but it can’t hurt to ask.

If you are like me, you are feed up to the back teeth with the blather about web 2.0, and social software. So I decided to write some antisocial software (click reload/refresh a few times) .

Right while Im busy trying to work on things. Ever since they moved me to these new numbers, off the paradise.net range Ive had numerous outages.
Id say on average once a week, anywhere from 1 to 12 hours. Its complete crap.
This one started at 8.47pm. According to their recorded message, its a Wellington wide fault, that they have no estimated time for repair for.

Well I can post content again, and the feeds are working, but the sidebars are still busted. Working on them now. I think I’ve figured out what I did wrong.

Yep sorted it, I screwed the base_url up, then made a big mess trying to fix things that werent actually broken.

Now I can blog the things ive been wanting to blog for the last few days.

After Russ had a play with Flock I decided to have a go too.

I don’t hate it yet.

This morning I dropped Alex down to the ferry at around 7.30am … then I had a meeting a the railway station at 10.30am. So instead of fighting my way back home through the traffic I just found a park near the railway station and went into Trax cafe. Thanks to Cafenet I’m able to work just fine from here. So im on a big couch with a coffee using the cafenet connection to work.
