Or at least the best in Wellington. It was pretty damn good, at Sweet Mothers Kitchen on Courtenay Place. They have a really good menu, lots to choose from, good fair trade coffee, and friendly staff. I recommend checking it out.

Im sure I didnt use to suck at pool that much
So I played perhaps the worst game of pool ever last night. I miscued the white at least 3 times, missed 4 easy shots … it was horrible. I think the game took about 7 weeks to finish.
Quiz Night and 28 week scan
So we had another scan at the 28 week mark, crayon is still being shy, so we dont know the sex yet. But all the measurements were fine so its all looking good, its gonna be healthy whatever sex it is.
And last night we won the quiz night at the Isobar again, I think we need to split up into smaller teams though, to give other teams a chance, we dont want to become that team that always wins and everyone hates.

The Underarm Incident
Last night a few of us members of the Beige Brigade made the trip north to Palmy to see the opening night of the Underarm Incident.
It was a great night, the play was really good, and really funny, with plenty o crowd participation. If you love cricket you’ll love it, even you dont love cricket, you’ll still find it hilarious.
Dude, where’s my water?
Someone or something has busted the water to households in Island Bay. I sure hope its back by the morning. The council have no idea when it will be back, or indeed where the problem is.
Quiz Night version 2
So we went to our second quiz night last night. Only Laurel and I .. we got 4th out of 8 teams this time. We got 43.5 and the winners got 45.5 so not a lot in it. It was a lot of fun though, and we have a lot more people lined up for next week hopefully.

Super Busy
Got work coming out my ears at the moment, We had another library go live with Koha last week. And lots more Koha work to do, plus lots of other bits and pieces.
It meant that I had a serious shortage of sleep last week, but thats ok, its practice for when crayon arrives.
Books and Baby Stuff
Well my stuff left Pittsburgh and is all paid for. the shipping company reckons it will be picked up in NY on the 29th (not sure if it was), and arrives in wellington on the 26th of September. I’m excited to be reunited with my art books, the baby stuff and ikea furniture bought for crayon, and my telescope amongst other things. looks like the boat is running late. I was looking forward to watching it go through the panama canal. Cool that you can watch it moving! wondering which way it will go from NY to NZ!
Isobar Quiz Night
Well we did ok, we got third, but we must remember not to double up on the first round next time. They were definitely the hardest questions of the lot.
We caned the movie plots and the name that tune rounds though.
Next week we’ll win the bar tab, we have the hang of it now.
