We saw this in Brisbane, it was pants, complete pants. Lots of holes in the
plot and the continuity was horrible. Probably about the worst De Niro film
I have ever seen.

Brisbane Trip
Heres a brief travelogue of our recent Brisbane excursion.
We flew out of freezing cold Wellington on Thursday night, and landed in
Brisbane just after 12am friday morning. It may have been the middle of the
night but it was still 4 degrees warmer than the high in Wellington.
We caught a taxi to our hotel, the Astor Metropole, which was right in
downtown brisbane. Once we had checked in, we piled into bed and slept till
about 9 the next morning.
We then wandered down through the town to pick up our rental car and headed
out to the burbs to go shopping at IKEA. After that we parked the car back
at the hotel and checked out the malls. Lots of good shopping to be had in
Brisbane and with the NZ dollar nice and strong, lots of bargains as well.
Saturday we headed north up the sunshine coast to check out Australia Zoo.
Tons of fun, it was Bindi’s 6th birthday which meant that Steve Irwin the
crocodile hunter himself was there. CRIKEY!!!!
Sunday we spent the day at Dreamworld and the evening at the final big
brother eviction. Fun, if slightly mad.
Lots of photos
here
Back home in the cold.
Back from a fun time in Brisbane, back in the freezing cold Wellington.
Can’t say im happy to be back, its good to see the pets again though.
The break was just what was needed, photos will be posted and a short
travelogue in a little bit.
Kirikiti
If NZ Cricket are going to take our boxing day test away from us. How about
we try and organise a game of Kirikiti instead. Chris Noble has a fantastic photo
of a game in action in Samoa.
Off in search of warmth.
We are off to find warmer climes for a few days, and to just get away from
it all. Should be fun, no thinking about work allowed.
NZ Cricket .. what the hell are you thinking?
According to
this article on cricinfo. NZ Cricket are thinking to scrap the boxing
day test at the Basin, and replace it with an ODI at Eden Park.
Utter utter arsehats.
The Basin is always packed for the test, and has a great atmosphere, and its
not like Eden park is short of events, for crying out loud, its just a
mental idea.
Arsehats of the week!
Well its early in the week, but this technically happened last week, so
perhaps its arsehats of last week. And the prize goes to Air New Zealand.
For their ridiculous stance in not helping disabled people to and from their
seats on the aircraft.
New Zealand’s national carrier is the only airline to refuse to help the
disabled into their seats.
And the Bledisloe stays where it should, in NZ
Not a pretty game, but about the best you could expect with about 8 trillion
litres of rain falling. The All Blacks had it all over the aussies for the
whole game, and deserved the win. Roll on South Africa.
The dreaded lurgy
Well im slowly getting better, id recomend not catching this strain of flu
if you can avoid it though. Its one of the nasty achy bone ones. Where every
joint aches, and moving is just not worth the pain. Ive set up a little pc
in the lounge on the wireless LAN, so im nice and warm and stretched out on
the couch.
Down with the Flu
Well im not feeling the best today, ever since i woke up, ive been achey all
over. I’m off to bed now and hope I feel a lot better tomorrow.
