Test the Nation
Well its getting closer, only 6 more days until Russ, Matt the other beige
brigadiers and I get to uphold the mantel of the smartest sports fans. Or at
least try too, we are up against a few different groups. You can see the

here . I think the Tolkien fans will be the biggest competition.
Whether we come top or not, im sure plenty of fun will be had by all.

Playing with Gmane
Well thanks to a suggesting from Pascal on the Koha mailing list, it got
said mailing list set up at gmane.org. Which gives an nntp interface to the
list plus nicely searchable archives.

YAY, Maori TV has got exclusive live coverage rights for the NZ Maori rugby
games. So we get to see them free to air, in Maori, live 🙂
I can’t wait till 9am sunday morning for kickoff.
Scotland vs Samoa
Well this was a lot of fun, even if it turned into quite a one sided affair.
The atmosphere was great, and Scotland deserved to win, its a shame Samoa
couldnt cross the line at least once though. Hopefully the Pacific Islanders
team will do better.
Koha, its everywhere.
I discovered last night that
these guys are using Koha for their library. Theyve done some nice
templates and it should be all on line soon.
I dropped them a note to ask if theyd add themselves to the Koha Users page
on the Wiki and they kindly did, so thats all good.
The Day after Tomorrow
Well its shite, shite with good special effects, but shite nonetheless.
I learnt two things, NZ will survive the next ice age, and we are a third
world country apparently.
The american’s illegally crossing into Mexico was kind of funny … but what
the hell was the wolf bit?? Sometimes you get the impression that script
writers have a mad idea at 3am .. and say “I know, this movie needs badly
computer generated wolves .. yeah, that’ll be wicked”. There’s a job vacancy
there, someone to just say “OI no, thats a ridiculous idea, go get some
sleep and try again tomorrow”

Im currently working on Koha to allow users to choose with which language (and
possibly theme) they want to interact with Koha.
UPDATED: This is in Koha now, and can be viewed on any OPAC with the settings enabled
