Henry brought me some of these last night, from the Island Bay butchers. I
cooked them for dinner tonight and I have to say they were very good. Very
very good in fact. If you want something a little spicy that fries up a
treat I’d recommend these.

Blog down tonight
Telstraclear are doing some kind of upgrade on their network tonight, so
they have a scheduled outage of midnight to 6am. So they blog will be down
for that period of time .. hopefully less and not more.
Woo Hoo
Well it took a long time (75 years in fact), but finally NZ Maori have beaten the British and
Irish Lions in rugby. It was a very tight game, but the Maori team simply
outmuscled the Lions to the ball at breakdowns. Im stoked.

Horrendous stubbies
Well once again the Beige Brigade are pushing the boundaries of fashion,
with stunningly bad stubbies.
They come complete with the ridiculous key pocket and all .. they are the
genuine thing. I wonder if NZ Cricket will copy these .. somehow I doubt it.
Random pizza guy
Have you ever had a pizza guy come to your door to deliver a pizza and then
not want to leave? Well we hadnt until about 30 minutes ago. Some random old
guy delivering pizzas for domino’s wanted to chat about star wars and some
other movie he was off to see tonight. Laurel finally got rid of him, not
before he had let all the heat out of the house and let the pizzas cool
down.

So, weve had NZ Maori vs Fiji, the All Black trial, and the Bay of Plenty vs
the Lions. Tonight is Jonah’s come back game, which will be interesting. I
dont know how he is going to go, I hope he plays well, but I think that will
be hoping for a bit much. Getting through the game will be the main thing.
A big weekend of rugby
Its only friday night and I’ve already seen 2 good games of footy, and still
have the Lions vs BOP tomorrow to go. Plus its a long weekend too. Pity
about the crap weather .. but you cant have everything.
National finally come out and admit they are Racist arsehats.
According to the NZ herald, National have started wheeling out their latest
round of bilboards. In an effort to appeal to uneducated cracker vote they
wheeled out this gem.
“Under the heading “Beaches” are the words “iwi” on the Labour side and
“Kiwi” on the National one. ”
Not only is it offensive, its complete bullshit, Labour are the party that
legislated the beaches out of any chance of being in Iwi control.
Its perhaps a good indication of how National view New Zealand .. with a real Us vs Them mentally towards
Maori.
I think i’ll design a billboard of my own.
Under the heading “Beaches”, On the Labour side I’ll have ‘Rich White
People’ and on the National side I’ll have ‘Rich White People’.

Does anyone know if they are going to release series 2 of ‘The Brak Show’ on
DVD? I hope so, because series one cracks me up everytime I watch it. If
youve never seen it, look out for it on Adult Swim on cartoon network.
You never need to worry about a burglary .. unless you have windows.
And other scaremongering crap to make you watch a complete crap program
about burglary. Whoever wrote the script for the advertisements for this
show is nearly as big an arsehat as the person who came up with the idea for
the show.
I know we’ll make this show where we have an ‘ex burglar’ break into peoples
houses to show how easy it is. What in the hell is the point of that?
Basically theyve just demonstrated its utterly futile to lock your doors or
even close the windows. Maybe they want everyone in NZ to put bars on the
windows. Or more likely they just made a complete pants show for no reason.
