Skype

Laurel bought a microphone to record some stuff for her art. So I finally
decided to try skype out, after being told by lots of people that it was
really cool. And the conclusion … it is really cool. Ive only made a
couple of calls with it, but it worked a treat both times, commendably clear
and commendably simple, its going to be getting more use.

Information Online Conference 2005

All in all, this went pretty darn well. We had a lot of interest in Koha,
and found more people running it that we didnt know about. There were the
usual ‘I dont get it’ type responses, but they seem to be getting less each
conference. Now just to do all the follow up work and we should have a pile
of Koha installs on the go.

What a huge Weekend

Well, the madness has finally ended and I have time to update the blog
again.
The Wedding celebrations part two on saturday went really well I thought. A
huge thanks to Laurel and her little helpers who did such a great job with
the hall. And a big thanks to everyone who came along to share the day with
us.
We spent most of Sunday cleaning up, thanks Uncle Rex and Dad for giving us
a hand. That evening we had fish and chips with our friends who had come
over from Japan. It was great to have them here.
And Monday was sports day, unfortunately both the Steelers and the NZ
cricket team lost 😦 But the cricket was a fun day out anyway, even if I do
need some throat lozenges now. Roll on the Austalian tour.

Steelers vs Jets 10.30am today

The Pittsburgh Steelers play the NY Jets today on the way (hopefully) to the
superbowl. If they win this, its on to the AFC championship game, then the
superbowl. They beat them in the regular season, and I’m sure they can do it
again. Laurel and I will be watching the game on ESPN and cheering.

UPDATE 2005/01/16: Talk about tense

Man, that was way closer than it needed to be. 20-17 to the steelers in
overtime, lets hope the next game isnt that hard.
